Have you been using your personal updates page to share your stories
with the community?
Every TakingITGlobal member is now able to create their OWN updates page!
This is a place for you to share stories, progress, adventures and perspectives.
Update pages are completely customizable, giving you control of the header,
footer, fonts, and colors -- and do NOT require you to be 'tech-savvy'!
To learn more, check out updates from others, and ADD YOUR FIRST UPDATE,
visit http://updates.takingitglobal.org/
~·~ 4. TIG and the Global Youth Action Network ~·~
The Global Youth ACTION Network is an international collaboration among
youth and youth-serving organizations in 125 countries, working together
to connect and empower more young people to make a difference. Its purpose
is to promote greater youth engagement, increasing cooperation among youth-serving
organizations through the sharing of information, resources and solutions.
TIG and the GYAN are working to create a more involved community of young
people on-line, and together provide a number of resources through the
TakingITGlobal.org website to inspire, inform, and involve more young
people in creating a better world.
The key programs and components that TIG members now have access to through
GYAN are the following:
Youth in Action Awards http://www.takingitglobal.org/action/yiaa.html
U.N. Youth Delegates http://www.takingitglobal.org/voice/unyd.html
National Youth Councils http://www.takingitglobal.org/voice/nyc.html
Global Youth Platform http://www.takingitglobal.org/voice/gyp.html
For more info about GYAN, check out http://www.takingitglobal.org/aboutus/about-gyan.html
~·~ 5. Create your own Workshop using our KIT ~·~
The time has come to sit back and think.
Think about what it is that you love to do.
Think about why you love it.
How would you explain what you love to a stranger?
What it would be like to gather a group of young people together, to
talk about, further explore or develop ideas on things that you are interested
in.
Think about exchanging ideas, sharing your expertise, gaining new perspectives,
and creating strategies to affect change.
Think about going to http://www.takingitglobal.org/workshopkit/ and going
through the process of designing, creating and implementing your own workshop.
Imagine connecting with other workshop leaders from around the world,
and sharing insights on how to do this more effectively, and how to connect
your ideas and initiatives to theirs.
Think about the lives you will touch, the experiences you will have,
And the chance that you will be giving yourself, to do more of what you

love.
Questions? E-mail the Workshop Kit team at workshops@takingitglobal.org
~·~ 6. Co-brand our databases! ~·~
TakingITGlobal has extensive databases of organizations, events, and
opportunities. Many organizations attempt to provide this type of information
to others through their web site. We provide organizations with fully
co-branded web sites, providing the content from our databases, to save
them time, money, and duplication of effort.
What is co-branding?
Co-branding is when we create a web site that looks like your web site,
and has all of the information from our databases in it. We host co-branded
sites on our server.
Do you want to set up a co-branded site for your organization? Please
visit http://partners.takingitglobal.org/ for more details, examples,
and our list of partners.
~·~ 7. Wrap Up! ~·~
Your interest, support and involvement with TakingITGlobal is what allows
this community to grow and encourage more young people to be inspired,
informed and involved every day!!
Stay connected,
The TakingITGlobal Coordination Team
