When people realise that they have been given the ultimate gift, which is 'life', and they realise that what they do with their lives is completely their choice! When people take their lives into their own hands and do something extraordinary with it despite not so favourable odds. When people realise that nothing is impossible and you see that smile on their faces. That inspires me!!

Parlez-nous d'un sujet qui vous tient particulièrement à cœur. Comment en avez vous pris conscience et comment avez-vous été amené(e) à vous engager?

The general misconception on Africa as a whole. How people 'see' Africa. Especially all the negative stuff. The people of Africa are proud and incredible people. I have launched a project to cycle around the whole African continent and motivating people as far as I go. Giving the world an inside look to the everyday life of Africans. Focussing on all the positives rather than the negatives. Focussing on what CAN be done, rather than on what can't be done.

Someone with compassion and understanding for people of all walks of life. Someone that does not judge. Someone that is willing to put in the time, effort and commitment to achieve success in whatever he or she does. Someone that is not afraid of standing up for what he or she believes in. Someone that will stand up for those who can't do it for themselves. Someone that is able to love him or herself. For you can only give to others what you have in abundance for yourself.

I definately think TakingITGlobal can help me achieve my goals. My mission in life is: "To live my life to my full potential and to inspire others to do the same...to make a positive difference in others' lives". I know there are many people out there that share this goal in life. Those who are willing to give. I have embarked on a huge mission and know there are others here on TIG that would love to be involved and help. It's just a matter of people knowing about what I am doing.
